Is it permissible for the wife to refuse or postpone childbirth despite the husband's desire? And is it permissible for the husband to force her to conceive? And how can she be convinced? And is it permissible for the husband to buy birth control pills for his wife? And what is the ruling on that in Islamic law?

Among the objectives of marriage are procreation and increasing offspring, as Allah the Almighty says: "So now have sexual relations with them and seek what Allah has ordained for you" (Quran 2:187), and as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Marry the affectionate, child-bearing woman, for I shall outnumber the other nations through you." A woman is not permitted to prevent pregnancy except with her husband's permission, unless she fears certain or probable harm. The husband must teach her the religious ruling, and if she insists, he is permitted to prevent her from taking anything that prevents pregnancy.
