What is the authenticity of the hadith: "Umm Ayman sifted flour and made a loaf of bread for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. He asked, 'What is this?' She replied, 'Food we make in our land, and I wished to make a loaf for you from it.' He said, 'Put it back into it, then knead it'?"

The Hadith narrated by Umm Ayman, in which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered the return of bran to flour after sifting, is a hasan (good) or sahih (authentic) Hadith due to its collective chains of transmission.

It was narrated by Ibn Majah and Ibn Abi Asim with a chain of transmission that includes Ya'qub bin Humayd bin Kasib, whom some weakened, but Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar described him as "truthful, perhaps he erred." Ya'qub bin Humayd was corroborated in his narration by Khalid bin Khidash and Omar bin Abdul Aziz bin Miqlaṣ, from his father, from Ibn Wahb.

Khalid bin Khidash is truthful, Omar bin Abdul Aziz is trustworthy, and his father, Abdul Aziz bin Miqlaṣ, is truthful and one of the most prominent companions of Ibn Wahb.

Sheikh Al-Albani authenticated the Hadith based on the collective narrations, and Sheikh Shu'ayb Al-Arna'oot graded its chain of transmission as hasan.

The Hadith does not indicate a prohibition against sifting flour from bran; rather, it illustrates the Prophet's asceticism and his avoidance of luxury.
