Is the authenticity of the story of Al-Hubab ibn Al-Mundhir's counsel to the Prophet, peace be upon him, regarding changing the position of the Muslims' encampment in the Battle of Badr established?

This story is weak due to the unknown intermediary between Ibn Ishaq and the men from Banu Salamah. Its chain of narration also contains an unidentified individual. Furthermore, it was narrated from Ibn Abbas, and its chain includes Al-Kalbi, who was a liar. However, it was reported with a good chain of narration to Urwah—though it is mursal (lacks a direct link to the Prophet)—that Al-Hubab ibn al-Mundhir advised the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to leave the waters of Badr behind so that the polytheists would not benefit from them, and that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, accepted his advice. Despite the weakness of this narration due to its mursal nature, the principle of shura (consultation) is firmly established by the texts of the Holy Quran and the events of the pure Prophetic biography.
