What are the limits of filial piety if the mother has money and wants her children to spend on her and furnish another apartment for her?

Ibn al-Mundhir reported the consensus of scholars that the maintenance of poor parents who have no earnings is obligatory upon their children for necessities, according to what is customary and within their ability, due to Allah's saying: "Let a man of wealth spend from his wealth, and he whose provision is restricted - let him spend from what Allah has given him. Allah does not burden a soul beyond that which He has given it. Allah will bring about ease after hardship." If the mother is not in need of maintenance, then maintenance is not obligatory upon her. However, it is part of perfect kindness to her to spend on her even if she is not in need, in obedience to Allah's command: "And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And to parents, show goodness." One should be keen to gain her satisfaction, for the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "The Lord's pleasure is in the parents' pleasure, and His displeasure is in their displeasure." And the child's wealth originally belongs to the parents. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "Indeed, the best of what you eat is from your earnings, and indeed, your children's wealth is from your earnings, so eat with pleasure."
