Cheating in exams and other matters is forbidden in Islamic law, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever cheats is not one of us." Repentance from it is obligatory by refraining from it, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it, alongside frequent seeking of forgiveness and performing good deeds. However, there is no objection to working based on the result of a job recruitment test in which cheating occurred. Nor is there any objection to the intention of improving one's level in the subjects in which cheating took place and making up for the training periods.
