What is the ruling on what parents do by preventing their daughter from marrying on the pretext of completing her studies, while knowing that she may fall into the haram (unlawful)?

If a qualified suitor proposes to a girl and she accepts him, her guardian is not permitted to prevent her from marrying him on the pretext of her completing her studies; because that would be an act of 'adhl (unjust prevention of marriage). She has the right to refer her case to the Sharia judge, so that he may marry her or order her guardian to do so. If the guardian refuses, the more distant guardian would marry her, or the judge would undertake her marriage. She must also be cautious not to establish an emotional relationship with any young man.
