ما معنى جملة: "أرسل الليل والنهار" الواردة في الحديث القدسي؟

The phrase "He sent forth night and day" means keeping them in their state of existence, and alternating them and wrapping one around the other. This conforms to the meaning of "I alternate night and day" mentioned in the Sahihayn, as well as Allah's saying: "Allah alternates the night and the day," meaning Allah makes them follow each other and disposes of them. As for "and when I wish, I seize them," it means at the establishment of the Hour and the destruction of the world.
