Is the following Hadith authentic: "Indeed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), on the night of his Ascension (Isra'), saw a tall man whose head could barely be seen in the sky. He asked, 'Is this an angel?' He was told, 'No.' He asked, 'A prophet?' He was told, 'No.' He asked, 'Then who is it?' He was told, 'This is a man whose tongue never ceased to be moist with the remembrance of Allah, and who never caused his parents to be insulted'"?

This hadith was narrated by Ibn Abi al-Dunya in "Kitab al-Awliya" with a very weak chain of transmission, and it contains defects: Firstly: I'dal (mursal from a tabi' tabi'i), as Abu al-Makhariq was from the followers of the Tabi'in, and he did not meet the Tabi'in. Secondly: This Abu al-Makhariq is majhool (unknown). Thirdly: 'Awn ibn Ibrahim al-Shami is majhool al-'ayn wal-hal (unknown in person and condition). Al-Albani mentioned it in "Al-Da'ifah" and said: "Munkar" (denounced).
