Is it permissible to pray four continuous rak'ahs without tashahhud during the day, specifically before and after the Dhuhr prayer?

The majority of scholars hold that it is preferable to perform voluntary prayers (nawafil) by offering two rak'ahs at a time, both during the day and night. However, it is permissible to pray four continuous rak'ahs during the day with a single tasleem. For one who prays four continuous rak'ahs, it is permissible to suffice with only the final tashahhud, although performing two tashahhuds is more meritorious. If one prays with a single tashahhud, they should recite a surah along with Al-Fatiha in all rak'ahs. If they perform two tashahhuds, they should recite a surah only in the first two rak'ahs. The Shafi'i and Hanbali schools have explicitly stated the permissibility of limiting oneself to a single tashahhud, and this is also the madhhab of Abu Hanifa and Abu Yusuf, differing from Muhammad and Zufar.
