Is it permissible to deduct from the salaries of Indian workers who are negligent in prayer in order to make them committed to it, after beating them did not work?

You are not permitted to punish your workers by deducting from their salaries if they perform their work as required. However, you may threaten to terminate their employment. You are not permitted to punish them by beating or other means, because the implementation of legal punishments (hudud) and discretionary punishments (ta'zirat) is the prerogative of the ruler (wali al-amr). You are not held accountable for their neglecting prayer; rather, you are obligated to enjoin them to good and forbid them from evil.
