Is it permissible for a Muslim to work in a company specialized in buying and selling overdue debts and profiting from them, regardless of whether these debts result from credit cards, loans, or phone contracts?

The purchase of debts at an accelerated price less than their value is considered one of the prohibited usurious contracts, as it involves riba al-fadl (usury of surplus), riba an-nasia (usury of delay), and gharar (uncertainty/risk). This has been decreed by the Permanent Committee for Issuing Fatwas, the Islamic Fiqh Academy, and the Council of the Islamic Fiqh Assembly. Accordingly, it is forbidden to work in companies and institutions that engage in the purchase of these debts.
