What is the ruling on Muslims marrying in France by reciting Al-Fatiha and announcing the marriage due to the lengthy divorce process under French law?

A valid marriage is one that fulfills its conditions and is free of impediments, even if the usual ceremonies are not performed or it is not registered in courts. The conditions for a valid marriage are five: identification and consent of the spouses, the mahr (dowry), the presence of a wali (guardian), witnessing the marriage, and the absence of any impediments to marriage for both spouses. If these conditions are met in the aforementioned marriage, then it is a valid marriage, Allah willing, provided that the presence of the guardian and witnesses is confirmed, the mahr is specified, and there are no impediments such as prohibited degrees of kinship, differing religions, or the waiting period (iddah). Reciting Al-Fatiha during the engagement or marriage contract is not from the Sunnah.
