Is what was said about wishing not to have studied the current major due to difficult economic conditions and lack of jobs considered shirk (polytheism), in light of Ibn Taymiyyah's statement: "Indeed, turning to means is shirk"? And what is incumbent upon the one who said it?

"Reliance on means is the heart's dependence on them and its hope in them, which is a type of shirk (polytheism). Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: 'Reliance on means is shirk in Tawhid (monotheism).' So, a job is a means to sustenance, but the true Sustainer is Allah, and the belief that Allah is the Provider negates attachment to the means. Sustenance was decreed before creation. Allah says: ﴿And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision﴾ (Hud: 6), and ﴿And in the heaven is your provision﴾ (Adh-Dhariyat: 22). There are other means to sustenance, including maintaining kinship ties, supplication, charity, and giving. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: «Whoever wishes that his sustenance be expanded for him and his life be prolonged, let him maintain his ties of kinship.» So, entrust the matter to Allah and do not worry about sustenance."
