What is the ruling on a wife’s refusal to have intercourse, which forces her husband to resort to masturbation, and is it permissible for the husband to marry another in this case?

A wife is not permitted to refuse her husband if he calls her to bed. If she refuses without a valid excuse, she is considered rebellious (nashiz). The husband must follow the Shariah-prescribed steps to deal with her. Marrying another woman is permissible if the husband is capable of being just. Masturbation is forbidden, and the wife's refusal is not a justification for it. One must repent from it and refrain from practicing it in the future.
