What is the ruling on a wife who sometimes refuses intercourse with her husband and secretly masturbates?

Marriage is built upon understanding, love, and compassion. The refusal of either spouse to share the marital bed without a legitimate Sharia-compliant excuse is among the grave sins. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If a man calls his wife to his bed and she refuses, and he spends the night angry with her, the angels curse her until morning."

The husband should help his wife to obey him and be good to him, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The best among you is he who is best to his family, and I am the best among you to my family," and "The most perfect in faith among the believers are those who are best in character, and the best of you are those who are best to their wives."

Masturbation is forbidden, and its prohibition becomes more severe if the person practicing it is married. Therefore, the woman must abandon this bad and forbidden habit due to the religious, physical, and psychological harms that result from it. She should be content with her husband and not exchange what is bad for what is good.
