What is the ruling on studying Egyptian antiquities up to the doctorate level?

The Holy Quran draws attention to traveling the earth and studying the relics of past nations for reflection and insight, not for glorifying their heinous deeds and idolatrous worship. Therefore, there is no impediment to preserving their relics and studying them for benefit. A student can specialize in this field with the intention of gaining benefit and reflection, or learning from their experiences, while being cautious not to approve of their polytheism.
