Is it permissible for a father to disown his son for marrying a girl with a bad reputation and from an unsuitable family?

If the brother's wife is righteous, the corruption of her family will not harm her. However, if she is not, then he has made a poor choice. A father severing ties with his son due to a poor choice of wife is not permissible, as it cuts off family ties, unless the severing of ties is because the son is engaging in forbidden acts or condoning his wife's sins. Shunning a corrupt relative depends on the benefit; if it helps bring them back to righteousness, then shunning is appropriate, otherwise, maintaining ties with sincere advice is more preferable.

The brother must be advised to honor his father and obey him in what is good. If his wife is corrupt, he should strive to reform her; otherwise, it is better for him to divorce her, and indeed it becomes obligatory if his father commands him to do so. The father should advise his son and frequently supplicate for him, for the supplication of a father for his son is answered.
