Does buying something I love for myself for my friend apply to the meaning of the Hadith: "None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself"?

The meaning of the Hadith is that complete faith is only attained by one who loves for his Muslim brothers the good and permissible things as he loves them for himself. What is meant by "good" here are acts of obedience and permissible things, and this includes loving for your friend to acquire the same beneficial, permissible things that you buy.
