Is it permissible for a wife to pluck her eyebrows, following the opinion of the majority of scholars, with the intention of beautifying herself for her husband?

There are sayings in the four madhhabs that permit plucking (namṣ) for both married and unmarried women. However, the majority of jurists restrict permissibility to married women and prohibit it for unmarried women, unless there is a medical need or to remove a defect, not for deception.

The majority of jurists hold the view that a married woman may pluck (her eyebrows) with her husband's permission, or with an indication of his consent, because it is an adornment religiously sought for the husband.

The preferred opinion is the absolute prohibition of plucking (namṣ), whether the husband gives permission or not, unless the eyebrow's thickness distorts the appearance, in which case it is permissible to lighten it only to the extent that removes the distortion.
