Is it permissible for a married woman or others to pluck their eyebrows, or not?

Plucking eyebrows (namṣ) is forbidden according to authentic evidence, such as the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud: "Allah has cursed the tatuists and those who ask to be tattooed, and the namṣāt (women who pluck their eyebrows) and mutanammiṣāt (women who ask to have their eyebrows plucked), and al-mutafallijāt (women who make spaces between their teeth) for beauty, those who alter the creation of Allah." And the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas: "The one who connects hair (wāṣilah) and the one for whom hair is connected (mustawṣilah), the one who plucks eyebrows (nāmiṣah) and the one for whom eyebrows are plucked (mutanammiṣah), and the tatuist (wāshimah) and the one for whom tattoos are made (mustawshimah) have been cursed, except in case of a disease." The preponderant opinion is that it is absolutely forbidden, whether the husband permits it or not, unless it is for removing excess hair beyond the usual amount that causes disfigurement or blemish.
