Is it permissible to marry a woman one does not desire, with the intention of divorcing her, in order to please one's mother?
Obeying one's parents is obligatory in matters that do not involve disobedience to Allah. However, there is no obligation to obey the mother if she wishes to compel her son to marry a woman he does not desire. Neither parent has the right to force a child into a marriage with someone they do not wish for.
The majority of scholars permit marriage with the intention of divorce, as long as it is not stipulated in the contract. Ibn Qudamah said: "If he marries her without a condition, but with the intention of divorcing her after a month... the marriage is valid according to the general consensus of scholars."
Therefore, there is no harm in you marrying with the intention of divorce to please your mother.
