Is it permissible for a person to marry a woman he loves while his mother rejects this marriage and threatens him with her wrath if he proceeds with it?

Allah Almighty has commanded kindness and dutifulness to parents, and this is among the best and most rewarding deeds. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, specifically emphasized dutifulness to the mother. If a mother refuses her son's marriage to a specific woman, the advice is that he should not marry her unless he fears temptation from that particular woman. In such a case, he should try to convince his mother, but if she refuses, he should marry her to avert the greater of two evils by committing the lesser.
