Is it permissible to use the mosque’s loudspeaker to ask about a valuable lost item or a missing child? And does this fall under the general meaning of the hadith: "Whoever hears a man calling out about a lost item in the mosque, let him say: 'May Allah not return it to you'"? And does placing a paper on the mosque's door or wall inquiring about a lost item fall under the same ruling?

It is not permissible to announce lost items using the loudspeaker inside the mosque, due to the generality of the Hadith: "Whoever hears a man announcing a lost item in the mosque, let him say: 'May Allah not return it to you.'" This is also because mosques were not built for such purposes. However, if the loudspeaker is outside the mosque, there is no harm. Similarly, it is not appropriate to post a lost-and-found notice inside the mosque, as it may distract people. Nevertheless, it is permissible to post it on the outer wall or the outer door of the mosque.
