Must one wait for the body to dry to re-perform ghusl if one forgot to wash a limb?

If someone forgets a limb or part of their body during a mandatory ritual bath (ghusl) and remembers it soon after, they are only required to wash that specific limb, and do not need to wait for their body to dry. If they do not remember until a long time has passed, they should still wash that limb, and there is no need to repeat the entire ghusl, as long as the forgetting occurred.
