What is the Sirat, and how will disbelievers enter Hellfire from it, even though the Qur’an mentions their entry from the gates of Hell in throngs? And is the idea of the Sirat a belief that infiltrated Islam from the Majus (Zoroastrians)?

The Sirat is a bridge erected over the back of Hell. Only the believers will cross it, according to their deeds, while the disbelievers and polytheists will be driven to Hell before the Sirat is set up. This is supported by authentic hadiths from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. As for what is mentioned about the Sirat in Zoroastrianism, it differs from the Sirat in Islam, and the claim that Islam borrowed this concept from them is false. The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, did not receive anything from the beliefs of the Majus (Zoroastrians) or the People of the Book; rather, what he brought was revelation from Allah.
