"Camel meat, like other types of permissible meats for Muslims, is neither obligatory nor a to eat. It is a nullifier of ablution (wudu) according to Imam Ahmad and those who agree with him, basing their argument on the of Jabir bin Samurah and Al-Bara' regarding the command to perform ablution after eating camel meat. This opinion is stronger in terms of evidence, even though the majority hold a different view.
