Is the Day of Resurrection like Hajj, and why will it be difficult for believers when Allah has promised them it will be beautiful?

The scene of Hajj reminds us of the Day of Judgment, especially the standing at Arafat, which resembles standing before God.

Sulaiman ibn Abd al-Malik was at Arafat when a lightning bolt struck, and he was terrified. Umar then said to him, "This is before His mercy; what then of that which is before His punishment?"

Pilgrims should take a lesson from their standing at Arafat for the Day of Judgment, where they will stand before God, barefoot and unclothed, with the sun drawing near them, and their sweat reaching them according to their deeds.

The matter is too severe for men and women to look at each other on that day.
