What is the order of events on the Day of Resurrection, and will the Hawd (Pool) come first or the presentation of deeds? Will every prophet have a Hawd, and will only Muslims come to the Hawd of Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him?
The Day of Judgment encompasses tremendous stages and mighty events mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah. It begins with the resurrection and gathering of people, barefoot and naked, followed by the Grand Intercession of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Then comes the scattering of the scrolls, the setting up of the scales, the approaching of the Basin (Hawd), and the crossing of the Bridge (Sirat), followed by Al-Qantara for retribution, and then entry into Paradise or Hellfire. The duration of this day is fifty thousand years. Our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has a Basin from which his followers will drink, and the correct view is that every prophet has a Basin from which their followers will drink.
