What is the ruling on the money received by a scholarship student during his absence from the scholarship location, exceeding the period legally permitted, due to family circumstances, knowing that his absence did not affect his studies, and that the scholarship authority will demand repayment of the amount disbursed during the period of absence if it becomes aware of it?

The eligibility for the financial reward of a scholarship is determined by the condition set by the granting body, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Muslims are bound by their conditions." Since you have violated the conditions of the scholarship, you are obligated to inform the granting body. If they demand the return of what was disbursed to you, you must return it, for the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The hand is responsible for what it takes until it returns it."
