Is the husband mentioned in the question entitled to prevent his wife from performing Umrah or to demand money in exchange for his consent? And is the wife considered a briber if she pays the money? And if he refuses and she goes without his knowledge, is she considered sinful? And is it permissible for her to supplicate against him at the Kaaba? And is it permissible for her to seek divorce through the court or khul’ from him without sin? And is her marriage invalid if she marries without her guardian's consent according to the madhhab of Abu Hanifa?

If a husband falls short in fulfilling his wife's rights, he is sinful, because he is obligated to be just among his wives. He who is not just will come on the Day of Judgment with his side leaning. He must repent and give her all her rights, including financial support and lodging. If he repents, then praise be to Allah. If he persists, then he should be advised. If advice does not work, she has the right to seek a divorce to remove the harm. This does not contradict the hadiths that condemn a woman who seeks a divorce without harm. There is no harm in supplicating for deliverance from him. A woman is not permitted to travel for 'Umrah or anything else without her husband's permission, as long as she is his wife, unless it is her first obligatory 'Umrah, and a mahram must be present during the journey.
