What is meant by the knowledge that must be learned about Allah the Exalted and His Messenger?
Knowledge of Allah is knowledge of His Oneness and what must be believed concerning Him, Glorified be He, regarding the Oneness of His Lordship, His Divinity, and His Names and Attributes. Knowing this from the texts of revelation necessitates the fear and love of Allah. It also includes knowledge of the Messengers and what they brought, and knowledge of the angels, the revealed books, the Last Day, and divine decree, as mentioned in the of Jibril. Knowledge of Allah and His Messenger is the science of (monotheism), its sources are the Quran and the , and it is the most noble and sublime of sciences, and the first thing a legally responsible person must learn. It is recommended to study easy, concise texts in this field.
