How can a girl deal with her husband who does not defend her and their family against his family, who verbally and physically abuse her, demand money from her, and physically and verbally insult her in front of her parents?

The father-in-law's slandering of his son's wife and her mother is one of the gravest sins that incurs a curse and wickedness. His taking off his trousers in front of them is an audacity that warrants disciplinary punishment. The husband's silence regarding his parents' actions constitutes participation in the aggression, and he must deter them from injustice and be gentle with them. If the husband repents and it is highly probable that he will repel harm, then the wife can return to him. Otherwise, it is advisable to seek divorce due to harm, which is not permissible in Islamic law, such as abandonment, beating, and verbal abuse.
