Whoever commits adultery with a woman has committed a great evil and a major sin. He must repent to Allah Almighty, and he is not permitted to openly declare his sin, for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "All of my Ummah are pardoned except for those who openly declare their sins." As for exposing the woman who committed adultery, the hadd punishment for slandering (qadhf) is not applied, because one of the conditions for establishing the hadd of qadhf is chastity from adultery. The pleasure of Allah is achieved through sincere repentance, by abandoning the sin, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it.
