Is it permissible to accept a financial donation for a charitable project from a person who deals in drugs?

A drug dealer must repent and dispose of his ill-gotten gains by spending them on the interests of Muslims or distributing them to the poor. You should advise this man and explain to him the obligation of repentance and its conditions. There is no harm in accepting money from him if it is part of his repentance, or even if he does not repent, because it is a right of the Muslims, unless accepting it is feared to lead to a predominant corruption, such as his persistence in wrongdoing.
