Nothing afflicts a Muslim except that it becomes an expiation for their sins and an elevation in their ranks, as stated in the : "No fatigue, nor illness, nor anxiety, nor sorrow, nor harm, nor grief befalls a Muslim, but Allah expiates some of his sins by it." And Allah will bring ease after hardship. Among the supplications that relieve distress are: "There is no god but You; glory be to You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers," and also frequent seeking of forgiveness.
