Is the story true that the angels captured Iblis and worshipped alongside him in Paradise, then Jibril recited the curse of Iblis from the Preserved Tablet, and the angels wept, and Iblis prayed that Allah would spare them from becoming like him?

This narration has no basis or chain of transmission, and it is circulated by some books such as "Al-Majalis Al-Wa'ziyyah" and "Nuzhat Al-Majalis" without clarifying its origin. The story mentioned in it about Israfil and his vision in the Preserved Tablet, then the angels' supplication for Azrael, as well as what was said about his vision at the gate of Paradise, is a blatant lie and a fabrication against Allah and His angels without knowledge. It is not permissible to transmit it or believe in what it contains.
