What events took place in the month of Muharram?

Among the events that occurred in the month of Muharram are: the salvation of Moses and his people from Pharaoh; the expedition of Abu Salamah to Tulayhah al-Asadi in the year 4 AH; the expedition of Muhammad ibn Maslamah, during which Thumamah ibn Uthal was captured, in the year 6 AH; the marriage of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to Safiyyah bint Huyayy in the year 6 AH; his departure to Khaybar in the year 7 AH; the death of Abu Quhafah in the year 14 AH; the death of Mariyah, the mother of Ibrahim, in the year 16 AH; and the killing of Al-Husayn, may Allah be pleased with him, in the year 61 AH.
