What is the expiation for being unable to quit cigarettes and shisha after saying: "Cigarettes and shisha are forbidden for me"?

Smoking, in all its forms, is forbidden (haram). It is obligatory to quit it and to not even contemplate it. One must seek Allah's help, make abundant supplications (du'a), have sincere intentions, and not pay attention to the whispers of Satan. Help can be sought from clinics that assist smokers. The phrase "I forbid myself from smoke" is merely stating the obvious and only adds emphasis to the prohibition.
