A husband must financially support his wife. His wife's salary is her exclusive right; it is not permissible to take it except with her willing consent or for a legitimate reason. A husband may send his wife back to her country, but he is not permitted to be absent for more than six months without her permission. He must be just between his two wives, even if they are in different countries. A wife is not permitted to seek divorce except for a legitimate reason, keeping in mind that divorce may not always be the best solution. One must be careful not to spy on a husband's conversations, as this is forbidden.
