Is the money a wife earns from her work lawful, and is the husband sinful for not forcing her to stop working, knowing that he is financially comfortable and does not fall short in providing for her?

A woman is not permitted to work outside the home except with her husband's permission; otherwise, she becomes disobedient (nashiz) and sinful. However, her earned money is lawful as long as the work itself is not forbidden. If she goes out to work without her husband's consent, he must follow the steps for addressing disobedience mentioned in the Quran: "And do not make difficulties for them" and "As for those [wives] from whom you fear disobedience, advise them; then, forsake them in bed; and finally, strike them [lightly]" and "And if you fear dissension between the two, send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people." If her work is forbidden, the husband must prevent her from doing it, by virtue of his guardianship.
