Is it permissible for a woman to get to know a man on Facebook under the pretext of seeking knowledge?

Interacting between men and women online can be an entryway to temptation (fitna) and corruption. The Sharia came to block the means leading to corruption. The claim of education is a flimsy excuse, as knowledge can be acquired through other means, especially with the availability of Islamic and other sciences online. There is no harm in merely benefiting from the scientific content in a man's account without direct interaction with him.
