Is it permissible to browse a foreign man's Facebook page to learn information about him, especially if he works in the same place?

It is permissible for a woman to view the Facebook page of a man who is not a mahram to her, provided that she is safe from fitna (temptation/strife). However, it is preferable to avoid browsing the pages of men who are not mahram if there is no significant benefit in doing so, as a preventive measure against temptation and fitna. She should occupy herself with what benefits her, in accordance with the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Indeed, among the excellence of a person’s Islam is his leaving alone that which does not concern him."
