What is the ruling on the muezzin walking a few steps during the adhan?

It is sunnah for the muezzin to make the adhan from a high place, facing the qiblah, extending his voice, and turning his head right and left for the two "Hayya 'ala" phrases. It is not sunnah for him to walk while making the adhan, as this is not reported in the Sunnah. If he does walk, it is disliked for him, though his adhan is still valid. The dislike increases if there is excessive walking, and this may even invalidate the adhan. However, if he walks a little due to a valid excuse or for a benefit related to the adhan, there is no dislike for him.
