What is the ruling on touching the Qur'an with a hand that has the trace of a minor wound from which a small amount of blood might transfer to the Qur'an? Is blood impure (najis) or merely repulsive (mustaqdhar)? And is this considered a an act of contempt towards the Qur'an that necessitates apostasy?

Blood is impure according to the majority of scholars, and a small amount of it is excused in prayer. It is not permissible to touch the Mus'haf with a limb that has become impure with blood or anything else. This is a forbidden act contrary to the glorification of the Mus'haf, but it does not reach the level of apostasy.
