Is a girl's insistence on marrying a man she loves, who is already married and older than her, considered disobedience (ʿuqūq) despite her family's disapproval of this marriage?

There is no objection to marrying a suitor who is older than the woman or who is already married, provided he is satisfactory in terms of his religion and character. One should try to convince the mother to agree to the marriage; if she agrees, then that is excellent. However, if the mother insists on refusing, then it is not advisable to marry him unless there is a fear of falling into sin. Some scholars believe that obedience to the parent is obligatory if they forbid marriage to a specific person, unless there is a fear of disobeying Allah. The conclusion is to try to convince the mother; if she does not agree, then one should disregard him, and Allah will compensate with someone better due to obedience to parents.
