Is it permissible for the one performing Hajj at-Tamattu‘ to perform additional ‘Umrahs after exiting the state of ihrām from the first ‘Umrah and before entering the state of ihrām for Hajj, and is he required to offer a sacrifice (hady) for each additional ‘Umrah, in accordance with the verse: "Then whoever takes advantage of ‘Umrah [to perform] Hajj [is obligated to offer] what can be easily obtained of sacrifice"?

Repeating Umrah during a single journey is permissible and recommended by many scholars, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Umrah to Umrah is an expiation for what is between them." Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) also performed two Umrahs during the Farewell Hajj. The person performing Hajj Tamattu' (combining Umrah with Hajj) is only required to offer one sacrifice (hady), even if they perform more than one Umrah. However, it is preferable for the Mutamatti' to perform only one Umrah before Hajj, in order to reduce congestion, make space for others, and to dedicate their time to remembrance (dhikr) and prayer in the Grand Mosque.
