Does the Hadith: "Do you hear the call [to prayer]? He said: Yes. He said: Then respond," apply to someone who lives behind the mosque and does not hear the Adhan which is only recited inside?

The criterion for hearing is that the muezzin be on the ground at the edge of the mosque nearest to the listeners, that the sounds be quiet and the winds still, and that the listener have average hearing.
