Does a triple divorce occur if a wife swears that her husband will be triply divorced if she cuts a sheet, and then proceeds to cut it?

If the wife cuts the sharshaf before the husband's oath, divorce does not occur. However, if she cuts it after his triple divorce oath, then divorce occurs according to the majority of scholars. Neither regret nor anger prevents its occurrence, unless it reaches the point of insanity. Some scholars hold the view that a triple divorce counts as one, and the expiation for a divorce oath is like the expiation for an oath when it is broken. It is advisable to refer the matter to Sharia (definition) courts or present it to people of knowledge.
