What should a girl do who lost her virginity and repented, concerning the young man who caused it and proposed to her, yet is not religious? Should she accept him because he is more entitled to her, or leave him and marry another religious man after undergoing a hymen repair surgery?

First: Adultery is one of the grave sins. Allah Almighty has forbidden it and everything that leads to it, and has threatened adulterers with punishment. Second: Abortion is another crime if the soul has been breathed into the fetus. Third: Sincere repentance, regret, and abstention from adultery and everything that leads to it are obligatory, along with increasing righteous deeds. Fourth: For the marriage of the adulterer and adulteress to be valid, sincere repentance is a prerequisite. One who drinks alcohol or uses hashish is not fit to be a husband, and it is not permissible to accept one who abandons prayer. Fifth: The hymen repair surgery is forbidden and involves deceit. It is not necessary to inform the suitor about the sin or the loss of virginity, and equivocation can be used. If the suitor repents sincerely and establishes prayer, then he can be accepted as a husband.
