What should I do, as I have repented to Allah after having a relationship with a married man? Should I marry a religious man of limited income who has proposed to me, and is it permissible for me to undergo a hymen repair surgery to conceal my past, or should I wait for the married man, hoping he might divorce his wife and marry me?

If the questioner is in an illicit relationship with a married man, repentance is not valid as long as this relationship continues. She must cease the sin, regret it, and resolve not to return to it. If the second man is religious, accept him as a husband and seek guidance from your Lord through Istikhara. As for hymenoplasty, it is fundamentally forbidden and is not permissible except in cases of necessity. If the husband discovers its absence, there is no harm in alluding to it by saying that it disappeared due to reasons other than fornication.
